White Rabbit Medicinals creates high quality edibles using RSF’s “Chronic Thunder”

At Rocking Star Farm we pride ourselves on growing the highest quality medical-grade cannabis, and we make a point of partnering with processors who share our focus on quality and medicinal value.

White Rabbit Medicinals in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is one of those ideal partners. Since Tiffanie Dartez started the company in 2019, she has established her own unique niche creating artisanal edibles that deliver both the taste and medicinal effects patients are looking for.

We recently spoke with Tiffanie to hear her story and get a glimpse behind the scenes at White Rabbit Medicinals…

White Rabbit owner and chef, Tiffanie Dartez

From food trucks to edibles

Before she was making edibles, Tiffanie was cooking up a different type of product: Cajun fusion. While serving up delicious Louisiana-inspired dishes from her food truck, “Stella Reaux,” she was also busy advocating for Oklahoma’s SQ 788, which legalized medical marijuana.

Initially, this came as a surprise to many friends and family who knew her. As a patient with multiple sclerosis (MS), Tiffanie was very accustomed to dealing with pain, but she never considered using cannabis.

“I come from a history of a family with a lot of narcotic abuse and addiction. When I had kids, I was anti-weed, anti-anything unless it was prescribed from a doctor,” she explained. “I thought whatever the doctor was prescribing for my MS was safe.”

Despite her caution, Tiffanie steadily found herself in a place where she was no longer in control of her prescription drugs. Without the medication, she would feel even worse than before. Like so many Americans, she found herself on the edge of a dangerous opioid addiction. She knew she had to make a change.

That opportunity finally came when a friend introduced her to medicinal cannabis. “When I tried cannabis, instead of feeling sick and needing to take a nap, I was actually able to go to a family function and be with my family and play with the kids and sit on the ground… I was able to enjoy everything.”

After months of researching and finding the right strains and dosages that worked for her, Tiffanie and her family decided it was SQ 788 or bust.

“It was our ‘coming out’ as a cannabis family,” she shared. “This is medicinal, and it will help a lot of people.”

Thanks to her advocacy and the efforts of many others, medical cannabis in now a reality in Oklahoma.

White Rabbit creates a variety of artisanal cannabis edibles, including suckers, hard candies, gummies, caramel chews, chocolate chip cookies, and more.

“Low and slow” – making edibles the right way

White Rabbit’s edibles are all made in-house with pride and care. They offer a variety of delicious goods, such as suckers, hard candies, gummies, caramel chews, and chocolate chip cookies. They also produce full spectrum ghee and coconut oil that patients can use at home in their own cooking.

Everything is made from scratch at a low temperature, which preserves the THC and terpenes in the cannabis. There are faster ways to churn out products and boost numbers, but the medicinal quality of the edibles suffers.

This “low and slow” process is known as “decarbing.” When combined with a source of fat, the THC and terpenes are activated. These fats help the medicinal quality of the cannabis become “bioavailable” (accessible for the body to ingest and use).

Even the basic White Rabbit butter products are decarbed for up to 18 hours. All this care and effort means that patients are getting the highest quality artisanal edibles.

Everything at White Rabbit Medicinals is powered by the Chronic Thunder cannabis strain from Rocking Star Farm.

Chronic thunder: the perfect strain for edibles

The team at White Rabbit Medicinals have worked with Rocking Star Farm from the very beginning. Tiffanie and Sam (the owner of RSF) have been family friends for several years, and their conversations led them to the possibility of a partnership even before SQ 788 was passed.

After trying each of RSF’s strains and experimenting with different recipes, Tiffanie found one decisive winner for all her products: Chronic Thunder.

“We’ve tried different strains before, and patients notice right away,” Tiffanie said, explaining that Chronic Thunder provides the perfect balance, consistency, and a deep velvety, salty taste. “When used in butters, it produces a deep, beautiful green color as well.”

Tiffanie shared that using Chronic Thunder isn’t just about taste, it’s about medicinal effectiveness. As an Indica-leaning hybrid, Chronic Thunder leads to tasty products that are effective at reducing pain without knocking you out. With the proper dosage, patients can go about their day pain-free, enabling them to live their best lives.

“Every strain from Rocking Star Farm is very high quality, and for edibles, Chronic Thunder is truly the best. We use it exclusively for all our White Rabbit products.”

Putting the patients first

“I run my company as a patient,” Tiffanie explained. Not only does this mean making the highest quality products but passing their knowledge down to patients as well. “If there’s a person that could benefit from edibles but can’t afford them, we want to give them the knowledge they need to make them.”

Through weekly cooking lessons at White Rabbit, anyone can learn simple edible recipes, the process of decarbing, and how to properly dose their medicine.

Tiffanie wants White Rabbit to serve the community as a cannabis advocate and an educational resource on edibles, helping patients reclaim the lives they want to live.
